Savills Investment Management has appointed Volker Wanka as its director of fund management in Singapore.
Wanka worked in Singapore for six years up to 2014 for SEB Asset Management, where he was vice president for real estate investments. More recently, he was a director of fund management for Savills Investment Management in Frankfurt.
Wanka will manage the Asia Property Fund 2 and the Asia Pacific Fund for Savills and is expected to oversee the launch of new Asia-focused funds from the company.
"His deep knowledge and expertise in the Asian markets will certainly bolster the team's strategy to achieve continued growth and expansion in Asia," said Michael Flynn, chief executive of Savills Investment Management in the Asia-Pacific region.
Savills Investment Management had €17 billion ($18 billion) under management as of September 30, 2016.
