US-based asset manager Wellington Management has entered into a distribution partnership with Standard Chartered.
Under the terms of the deal, Standard Chartered Private Bank will offer Wellington’s credit total return fund to clients in Hong Kong and Singapore.
The fund is an actively managed, long-only cash and bond strategy managed by Conor Fitzgerald.
It will be available to Standard Chartered’s private banking clients in Singapore from April to May 2024 and retail banking clients from June to August, subject to regulatory approval.
“With interest rates at their highest levels since the global financial crisis, investors have a renewed appetite for fixed income investing due to the stability of returns and potential income opportunities,” stated Elizabeth Chisholm, head of client group, Asia Pacific at Wellington.
“As an investment-led, investment-focused firm, Wellington brings a broad array of investment and proprietary research capabilities across fixed income, equities, and multi-asset to the firms we partner with,” added Chisholm.
