China Asset Management (China AMC) has agreed a deal with Dutch asset manager NN Investment Partners to collaborate on product development.
Through the partnership, China AMC hopes to improve its roster of environmental, social and governance (ESG) investment products, in which NN IP has an established offering.
“China AMC hopes to bring more sophisticated investment strategies into China through cooperation with globally renowned asset management organisations like NN IP,” said Tang Xiaodong, chief executive of the Chinese company.
“China AMC also hopes to increase the international institutions’ understanding of the Chinese capital markets and the Chinese asset management industry, so that these investors will also have more opportunities to participate in China’s economic development,” he added.
NN IP, formerly known as ING Investment Management, has €246 billion ($300 billion) under management.
