Private equity fund manager CVC Partners has raised US$6.8 billion for the closing of its sixth Asia fund.
The fund, CVC Capital Partners Asia VI, is 50% larger than its predecessor which pulled in $4.5 billion when it was launched in 2020.
According to CVC, the Asia VI fund enjoyed “strong demand” from both new and existing blue chip investors, enabling it to exceed its $6 billion fundraising target.
In total, CVC has accumulated over $21 billion in capital commitments for its Asia funds.
“We have invested significantly in CVC Asia over recent years and are delighted with its excellent progress,” said CVC managing partner Rob Lucas.
“CVC Asia is one of the growth engines for our private equity platform and we look forward to the continued expansion and success of this strategy.”
