Whisky cask fund launches in Singapore

Whiskey caskThe London-based Whisky Cask Club has launched what it claims is the first regulated fund in Singapore to offer investors exposure to casks of Scotch whisky. According to the club’s founder and CEO, Alexander Knight, whisky-themed funds are returning between 10-15% per annum. Rather than investing in bottles of whisky, the fund will be focused on casks, which Knight claims have a greater chance of profit since they appreciate over time. The fund will be actively managed by Ian Berclaz, founder and CEO of Singapore-based Blair Road Capital. The minimum investment has been set at US$50,000 and limited to accredited investors. © 2022 funds global asia
