Value Partners appoints chief risk officer

Risk optionsHong Kong-based fund manager Value Partners has named David Wong as chief risk officer. Reporting to group president June Wong, he will be responsible for overseeing the risk management function across the Hong Kong headquarters and overseas offices. Based in Hong Kong, Wong will also lead the group’s enterprise risk management strategy. He arrives from Blackrock where he was managing director and regional head of internal audit for Asia Pacific. Prior to that Wong spent nine years at HSBS in various risk management roles including regional chief risk officer at HSBC Global Asset Management in Asia Pacific.
