Thailand’s Krungsri selects Charles River cloud platform

Thailand, Krungsri, Charles River, cloud, platformKrungsri Asset Management, one of Thailand’s leading investment managers, has contracted software firm Charles River as part of a revamp of its operations. Krungsri will migrate its front office operations to Charles River’s cloud-based platform. An existing client, Krungsri, already uses the Charles River Investment Management Solution, which covers mutual, private and property funds across several asset classes, including equities, fixed income and derivatives. According to Krungsri’s chief technology officer Prasert Impornrugee, the deal with Charles River will “support our investment operations and frees up internal resources to focus on our business priorities all while managing costs with predictable technology and support spend”. Charles River was acquired by State Street back in 2021 partly on the strength of a growing number of asset managers looking to migrate their front office operations to third-party, cloud-based platforms. ©2023 funds global asia
