US-based JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has made its first foray into Asia Pacific’s ETF market.
The firm has launched a series of actively managed ETFs in Australia.
The JPMorgan Global Research Enhanced Index Equity Active ETF and the JPMorgan Equity Premium Income Active ETF have both been listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
The launch comes on the back of significant growth in Australia’s ETF sector. In 2021, assets grew by 44% to US$87.5 billion.
While assets have since declined slightly in 2022, there is still interest in the sector from global fund managers such as Fidelity International, abrdn and Janus Henderson, which have all listed ETFs in Australia in recent years.
