Impax AM to open Tokyo office

Tokyo, Impax AMLondon-based specialist investor Impax Asset Management is bolstering its presence in Asia with the opening of a Tokyo office. The move comes on the back of Impax securing a green finance subsidy programme for entry into the Tokyo market, as awarded by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. It also follows the recent award of a “significant mandate” from a major government pension fund in Japan. The office will be opened later this month with a small number of employees, according to a statement from the firm. Impax also stated that it would continue to work with BNP Paribas Asset Management, which has served as its distribution partner in Japan for the last ten years. © 2023 funds global asia
