Eastspring Investment, the Asia-based asset management arm of insurer Prudential, has appointed Bill Maldonado as chief investment officer (CIO).
Based in Singapore, he will report to chief executive Seck Wai-Kwong and will also take a seat on the company’s executive management committee.
In the newly created role, Maldonado will be responsible for leading the firm’s investment strategy and products across equites, fixed income and multi-asset funds
The appointment comes a year after Maldonado was named as head of equities at Eastspring.
Prior to that, he was Asia Pacific CIO and global CIO, equities at HSBC Global Asset Management.
