UK-based CRUX Asset Management has appointed Baillie Gifford’s Asia investment manager to lead its own expansion in the region.
Ewan Markson-Brown will manage two new Asia-focused equity strategies and establish a new office in Edinburgh.
The Ucits funds are expected to be launched in Q4 and will target growth companies in the region (ex-Japan and China).
Markson-Brown will be supported by a newly hired investment team including two analysts covering Greater China/southeast China and India.
CRUX appointed another Asia specialist earlier this year when it hired Ashley Dale as director of international sales.
While at Baillie Gifford, Markson-Brown managed the Baille Gifford Pacific Fund and was lead manager of the Pacific Horizon Investment Trust.
