Aveline San has been appointed as the chief executive of Citi’s Hong Kong and Macau businesses.
Based in Hong Kong, she will report to Tim Monger, Citi’s head of north and east Asia cluster.
She replaces Angel Ng, who was named Asia head of Citi Global Wealth back in April.
San joined Citi in 2019 as chief compliance officer, Asia-Pacific. Before that, she spent 14 years at UBS, where she served as head of compliance and operational risk controls and general counsel of wealth management for North Asia.
According to Monger, San will be expected to help grow Citi’s wealth management and institutional investment business in Hong Kong, which Monger described as “a key growth market and regional hub for Citi”.
