French fund manager BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPPAM) has appointed Peggy Lee as chief executive for Hong Kong.
She takes over from Guillaume Wehry, who will be taking on a Europe-based role within the BNP Paribas group.
In addition to heading up the firm’s Hong Kong operations, Lee will also serve as chief marketing officer (CMO) for Asia Pacific.
Based in Hong Kong, she will report locally to Asia Pacific CEO Mike Nikou and functionally to London-based Paul Van Eynde, BNPPAM’s global CMO.
Lee joins from Investment Management, where she was the global head of retail marketing and chief marketing officer Asia.
“This senior appointment is in line with our ambition to reinforce and accelerate our asset management business across the wholesale distribution space in the region,” said Nikou.
