Former Fidelity International executive Mike Nikou has been named as chief executive and head of distribution for the Asia Pacific business of BNP Paribas Asset Management.
He succeeds Steven Billiet, who had continued to serve as APAC head following his appointment as head of global client group in August last year but has now relocated to Paris.
Based in Singapore, Nikou will report to Biliet and Paul Yang, head of BNP Paribas Asia Pacific.
His responsibilities will include promoting the asset manager’s sustainable investing business, leading its distribution activities and developing its wholesale and institutional sales strategy.
Nikou joins BNP Paribas AM from the Singapore office of venture capital firm Antler where he was a global partner. He also spent over 20 years at Fidelity International in several senior roles.
