Abrdn strengthens Apac client team

HiredGlobal fund manager abrdn has appointed former Credit Suisse executive Vivian Tang as head of institutional clients, Asia Pacific. She will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to Rene Buehlmann, CEO, Asia Pacific. Tang will lead the restructured Apac client group at abrdn which has been bolstered by the prior additions of David Hanzl as head of wholesale clients and David Mitchell as head of the client management office. According to Buehlmann, the restructured team will help the firm “engage with clients in a more focused manner and provide better solutions for their needs”. Tang joins from First Sentier Investors where she was head of distribution, North Asia.
