US-based asset manager Pimco has promoted the head of its consultant relations group to be its head of Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
Kimberley Stafford will take on responsibilities for the Asian business at once and relocate to Hong Kong halfway through the year.
She replaces Eric Mogelof who is returning to New York to lead Pimco's US global wealth management business.
Pimco chief executive Emmanuel Roman praised Stafford's, "deep understanding of the asset management business, her commitment to our clients and proven strategic leadership".
Stafford has worked for Pimco for 17 years in roles covering human resources, sustainability, institutional sales and marketing for alternative investments.
Pimco named Mogelof as its head of Asia-Pacific in July 2014.
