T. Rowe Price builds Tokyo multi-asset team

Tokyo_cityBaltimore-headquartered T. Rowe Price has established a multi-asset team based in Tokyo, announcing an appointment and relocation as part of the move. Richard Coghlan, global solutions portfolio manager in the multi-asset division and co-portfolio manager of the real assets strategy, will move from Baltimore to Tokyo. In addition to maintaining his current responsibilities, Coghlan will also work with the Asia Pacific team to develop income solutions for local markets in the region. T. Rowe Price has also hired Hajime Takigawa as a solution strategist. He most recently served as a senior portfolio manager at Russell Investments. Prior to that, he worked at Barclays Global Investors, which has since merged with BlackRock. Takigawa’s responsibilities include supporting the delivery of investment solutions and working closely with multiple teams to design custom investment strategies to meet the needs of local investors. He will report to Hong Kong-based Thomas Poullaouec, head of multi-asset solutions for APAC. “As Japan enters the era of ‘The 100-Year Life’, individuals, institutions and the government are preparing for a time when millions can expect to live for a century.
