The former chief financial officer of UK-based insurer Prudential will take over as chief executive of its Asian business following a management reshuffle.
Nic Nicandrou succeeds Tony Wilkey, who joined the company in 2006 and became chief executive of Prudential Corporation Asia less than two years ago.
Prudential has recruited Mark FitzPatrick, a managing partner at consultancy Deloitte UK, to be its new chief financial officer.
Mike Wells, chief executive of the group, praised Wilkey's contribution to the company's growth in Asia, where he said it had “a market-leading business”.
“As we have reported today, we continue to have strong momentum across the region,” he added.
Wilkey will remain with the business until July after which he will pursue unspecified opportunities outside the company.
