PineBridge Investments has launched a retail share class of its existing Asia Pacific investment grade bond fund.
The fund, which is denominated in Singapore dollars, allows retail investors to retain their exposure to the currency.
“The new retail share class shares the same portfolio with the existing institutional share class of the USD-denominated Asia Pacific investment grade bond fund, which invests in short and medium to long-term debt securities issued or guaranteed by entities based within the Asia Pacific region,” PineBridge said in a statement on March 31, 2020.
Ana Dhoraisingam, chief executive for Singapore and head of institutional and wealth management sales for southeast Asia at PineBridge Investments, said: “With the ongoing global growth challenges as well as market uncertainty, investors are increasingly turning towards high-quality bond funds to help insulate them from ongoing volatility.”
The firm manages US$15 billion in income strategies across Asia Pacific ex-Japan.
