Pimco appoints APAC head

Bonds newspaperUS fixed income specialist, Pimco, has named Alec Kersman as head of Asia Pacific. Kersman takes over from Kimberley Stafford who is returning to Pimco’s US office to head up its product strategy group after four years in Hong Kong. Kersman was most recently the head of strategic accounts in Pimco’s–based global wealth management business but has previously served as the firm’s managing director in both Latin America and the Caribbean. Both Kersman and Stafford will report to chief executive, Emmanuel Roman. Meanwhile, managing director and vice chairman of Pimco’s executive office, John Studzinski, will continue “playing a key role in broadening Pimco’s relationships in Asia-Pacific with leaders in business, finance, government and non-government organisations”, stated Pimco. © 2021 funds global asia
