Mercer hires Asia portfolio specialist

Asia_globePensions and investment consultancy Mercer has appointed Richard Tan as a portfolio specialist for Asia in a newly created position. Tan joins the firm from Willis Towers Watson, where he served as head of research for Asia in his most recent role. Tan will leader clients’ portfolio construction across asset classes and public and private markets, Renée McGowan, chief executive at Mercer Asia said in a statement released on May 29, 2019. Commenting on his appointment, Tan said: “Against the backdrop of challenges in the current investment environment, finding the right partner with the appropriate skill-set can make all the difference for the outcome of a client’s portfolio.” In the statement, Mercer added that Tan joined the firm in May 2019 and is based in Hong Kong. ©2019 funds globla asia
