Exotix expands research team in Africa and Asia

Hanoi_VietnamEmerging markets specialist Exotix Partners has hired equity researchers from Pakistan, Vietnam and Nigeria. Rohit Kumar, formerly of Insight Securities and Taurus Securities, will cover South Asian financials from Karachi. Phuong Pham, who has worked at Mediobanca and Standard & Poor’s, covers Vietnamese banks. Temitope Ode, an ex-Sankore Global Investments and Goldman Sachs employee, will analyse financial companies from Lagos. “We are building a very talented financial sector team with deep experience in our core markets,” said Rahul Shah, head of financials research. The appointments are the latest in a series of hires by Exotix, which recently expanded into the Americas by rehiring Rafael Elias as an analyst and employing Rex Nowell as a director of new client development.
